Dr. Aidan Altenor
DPW OMHASA
Bureau of Hospital Operations
Beechmont Building
DGS Annex Complex
P.O. Box 2675
Harrisburg, PA 17105

This is the person and address you can contact to try and get any records on any of your questions re: family members who had been in the Warren State Hospital. There are so many HIPPA laws, I don't know really what you can obtain. Good Luck. Fran

I too grew up at warren state hosp. My father worked there many years off and on. 1958 is when I started to know what was going on and how wonderful things were back then I have nothing but good things to say about the life in the grounds we kids had lots of fun and I just wish the changes that took place never had for the patenice . They always seemed to be pleased to take part in any of the chores of the grounds. Summer time you might wake up to 10 or more push mowers coming your way to do the Dr.s yards they always had smiles and did great work...only some might remember winter time well they had a flat bottom boat pulled by a horse to do the sidewalks and the driver always waved and smiled I could go on and on but ill wait BUT WHAT HAPPENED AND While NIXON WAS PRES. WHEN THE CHANGE TOOK PLACE SOMEONE FIXING SOMETHING THAT WASNT BROKE HUMMMMMMMMM SOUNDS A LITTLE LIKE TODAY after that change took place you had lots of wonderful people to do nothing but sit and stare what a shame............ so glad I got to see the before pitures
